HNT~ A Walk In The Clouds
The recent addition of our swing set has done more for me than my children. At all hours of the day and night, I tip toe out to the yard for a chance to stretch my feet into the sky.
My neighbors surely think I’m nuts. Since moving in nearly 2 years ago we have, admittedly, done some odd things- like showering in our backyard. Nothing has garnered the looks and window peeping quite like my swinging. One might assume from all the hullabaloo that I’m nude or throwing silver dollars, but alas it’s just me. Back and forth I go, leaning backwards to study the sky, pondering what needs to be done.
There are a few places I seem to do my best thinking. I like to take long winding drives to nowhere, all along the way pouring out my feelings. With gas so pricey I find the shower to be a suitable substitute but when I only have a small taste of time or I want to avoid getting pruney fingers, I hit the swings.

I do my best thinking when I’m in the sunlight. It doesn’t matter where, as long as I’m in the sun.

I think really well sitting at a pub’s outdoor table, sipping beer and scribbling notes.
Unfortunately, living in Sweden, I only get to do my best thinking for a few months a year.

I am so with you..but the only times I’ve gotten those looks is when I’ve knocked the kids off for my go on the swing…do you also go as high up as you can, jump off, and then bow like it was an olympic sport???

I do my best thinking in the shower or when I’m cooking. I love to swing too, it’s so relaxing and you can just get lost inside yourself.

Great photo. Lately, I do my best thinking out at the cemetery. But if that is too morbid for you, I also spend copious amounts of time in my garden. Nothing like pulling weeds and getting dirt under the ole fingernails to help put things in perspective.
Maybe I need a swing though!

Swinging sounds like fun. I should try it sometime.
I enjoy clearing my mind and relaxing in a hot bath. Very soothing, with some music playing.

I wish we had room for a big swing like that in our back yard. Our patio swing is much tamer. I do my best thinking when I am walking or in the car driving.
