Did you know
that if you are allergic to wheat and you stop eating wheat for a few days that toasting your gluten free bread in the family toaster can make you sick. Nay, not just sick but can drop you like consuming a plate of salmonella laden chicken would.
I have bought my own toaster which is clearly labeled “GLUTEN FREE”
Today I am cleaning out my freezer, fridge and cupboards. Would anyone care for some poison wheat based products?
I think my family may have to go gluten free with me.

Oh, poor you! That sucks! We’re currently trying to figure out my husband’s digestive issues - I feel for you.

I am so sorry you have to go through this, especially when pregnant!!!

Oh man, I just this morning hung up from a friend who is no on a strict gluten-free AND dairy-free diet. It doesn’t sound fun at all. I feel for you.

PS my dear friend’s young son has celiac’s. She made some AWESOME scones, gluten-free. I’ll try and get you the recipe.

I hope the change in diet solves the problem…better to finally have a solution than suffer, even if it does mean a change in diet.
My Mum has been told she has irritable bowel syndrome, but changing diet hasn’t stopped her being sick after meals when socialising…when more nervous. Not nice. Crops up for no reason some times, like on Thursday, only had lunch out with Dad, me and my husband, and almost ill on leaving.

Wow, well at least it does seem like that might be the problem, after all. I know it’s not much fun to have to give up certain foods, but it does help to feel better when you do give them up.

I have two friends - one with celiac disease (sparked off by her first pregnancy) and one with a gluten allergy - neither of them can eat anything that has touched bread or anything with gluten in.
