That’s our fire, our first fire. Well, our first fire to occupy the proper fire making area -let us not forget to tip our hats to the great toast incident

And much as he was in the flaming toast photo, The Hubster was grinning over building this indoor heat producing blaze
There was much blowing
and tending
I tried not to be jealous but here I am all laid up with my intestines hanging out like an orange in a tube sock and I know I’m not going to get any blowing or tending- let alone, any admiration
Do you see the intensity with which he’s studying that blaze? That’s usually reserved for my boobs. It’s a sad day indeed. At least I had a nice view.
(and for those scratching your heads and saying ‘Dude, don’t you live in FLORIDA?” Yes, yes we do and it’s in the dang 20s! I plan on microwaving potatoes and shoving them in my pockets to keep warm at the bus stop in the morning. I’ve been informed that this may be weird. Is that true?)

The potato trick works well. I can recommend boiled eggs for shorted journeys.

I’m very jealous! The hubster will not let us light a fire in our fireplace until we have it cleaned. Are there even chimney sweeps in Florida?

I am SO jealous! I love roaring fireplaces so, so much. My next house is gonna have fireplaces all over.
Can you see how green I am with envy?? That nice roaring fire would do well at keeping us warm in our -30 something with the windchill weather. Snuggle a little closer for me, k?
