It’s been a hell of a year dear Levi. At this very moment you are in your room shrieking “I NOT TIRED” with your eyelids at half mast.
This year has been a roller coaster filled with thrills, spills, and self discovery. You started walking, talking, arguing and bargaining. You moved into your own bedroom and became a big brother. You discovered your peno, the fact that I don’t have one and the fact that your dad is packing an impressive one. You love brushing your teeth, wearing shoes, and standing in front of an open fridge.
In the last 2 months your speech has exploded. You bargain with us constantly, following up each request with “How about that mama?” “I eat a ‘nola bar mama, how about that?” “I jump on the bed now mama, how ’bout dat?”
You’re passionate about tie dye, trains, cars, trucks, dinosaurs, spider man, batman and basketball. Your fashion sense is an impeccable blend of tie dye, camo, plaid and stripes. On your best days, they are all in the same outfit.
You are wary of strangers but fiercely loving with those you let in to your world. You roll your eyes up if anyone but mama and daddy dare to talk to you- you do this VERY often, because you sir, are a beautiful child and people feel compelled to talk with you where ever we go.
Every day, I grow more and more proud of the person you are becoming. Yes, even on those days when you keen at the top of your lungs in Target because I won’t strip you naked and put on your new Thomas the tank engine swimsuit RIGHT THEN.
