The week started off beautifully
We visited a local plant nursery
and did a driveby gawk of The Hubster’s favorite tree
The time change threw us for a loop and there were 3 days where dinner happened after 8pm, 2 days where the girls were grossly late for school and 5 days where I literally had to remove Mira from bed and force the day upon her.
There was a lot of moving this week. The itty bitty chickens moved outside
and Bo
moved in with his brother (sort of, more of on a partial trial basis).
The hens shocked and surprised us, I launched a new giveaway, and Levi decided to start potty training himself.
Last night, I pillaged my local groceries stores.
My Publix bill came to $80.75
My Publix savings were $116.88
($29.09 in manufacturers coupons, $13.00 in store coupons, $70.22 in advertised specials, $4.57 in advantage buy savings)
I LOVE it when my savings exceed my spending.
Today is filled with gottados, like cleaning, bill paying, and drinking heavily (ok this isn’t a gottado but the kids are cranky and it might go from a fun idea to a gottado). Tonight is our new tradition- Family Movie Night. Every other Saturday we make special treats and enjoy a movie together. Tonight’s selection is Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
How was your week?

I wish I could save that much!! I average saving about $50-60 each shopping trip, and each time I say i can do better than that!!!

I thought at first a gottado was something you bought from the shop, like a burrito.

OH you wont be disapointed with chitty Chitty bang bang!! I still clap like a little girl when it comes on…. Really I do, why are you looking at me like that. OH and Milk Man wants a picture of your hubbys favorite tree – just to compare.. compare what I asked – no answer….. weirdo huh? *snort*
Heidi’s last blog post..1 of my passions……
great pic of bo! gorgeous . . .
I love that movie!!!
I hate that you have a Publix and I don’t. I miss Publix. *cry*
All I can say is I need lessons on using coupons from you, and there were too many dead cats in my week.
I miss Publix as well; nothing quite like their mint chocolate chip ice cream. Nobody else has the chocolate shavings and good strong minty flavor like them. *drool*
