I had always just let my husband do it, I mean it couldnt be that hard right? well of course I decided to take his little sister shopping at the mall without him. We probably spent 15 min in the parking lot wrestling with the dam thing in the the freezing windy cold before I just decided to carry the baby carrier into the mall (big mistake! those are heavy!) I had to have my hubby show me how to use it the next time we went out (turns out you have to twist the handle... who makes these things?!?!) I would have to say that was the moment that made me realize that I was a mom and didnt know what the hell I was doing! Met some friends for one of my first post-baby outings. When I got back to the (huge, dark and scary) parking garage, I couldn't figure out how to get the baby carrier/car seat detached from the stroller. Talk about freaking out! I guess your story is why our moms tell us to always wear clean undies! At least yours weren't gross and holy!
